Deborah Hay’s If I Sing To You is a work that becomes a seamless song, where movement and voice lead the consciousness through an authentic experience of time. 

Featuring an all-star cast of New York-based female dancer/choreographers including Michelle Boulé, Jeanine Durning, Catherine Legrand, Amelia Reeber, and Ros Warby.

Spiraling Down (N.Y. Premiere)

Spiraling Down draws inspiration from a variety of sources—newspaper photos, soccer moves, old movies, classic modern dance, ballet, Steve Martin, 19th-century actress Sarah Bernhardt, even Rainer’s own disinterred dances from the 1960s—which come together to create an eerie resonance that is both melancholic and unpredictable. 

Performed by Pat Catterson, Emily Coates, Patricia Hoffbauer, and Sally Silvers. 

Spiraling Down was commissioned by the J. Paul Getty Museum, Getty Research Institute, and World Performance Project at Yale. Additional support was provided by the Performa Commissioning Fund.
